Testimonials

Every dog and cat that I see are significant, special and important. I wanted to use this page to allow owners to send a photo of their beloved pet along with either a heartwarming tale or a review of my services. Some may just be a simple photo. I hope you enjoy these beautiful animals and know you are not alone when it comes to the loss of a pet.

When you have to make the heartbreaking decision to end your pet's suffering, you want to make sure that your pet's end of life will be as stress-free as possible.

Emily was an absolute angel, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to help my beloved Elsie.

From the very first call, when I was bawling my eyes out, Emily was incredibly kind, understanding, and compassionate. I'm so grateful that Elsie's final moments were at home, on my lap, and in a calm and peaceful environment.

Thank you again for the incredible work you do.

Nelly is a Jackaleir (Jack Russell x King Charles Cavalier) She had such a fun personality often displaying the hype of a Jack Russell hunting and barking at anything that moved but also giving the cute cuddles of a Cavalier. Nelly loved walking at the park every day rain, hail or shine she would hear the word “park” and head to the front door ready to go. Nelly loved people and loved a scratchie under her chin. No matter who was in her presence she would smile and go up for a pat and hopefully receive a treat too. A sweet little bestie to everyone and a tonne of entertainment around our home.

We were so grateful that Dr Emily was able to facilitate our boy Sunnys rainbow journey at such late notice on a Saturday.
Thankyou so much for your tender loving care and being so gentle with him. We also appreciated your kind nature and support to our precious baby girl Harmony. You made the whole transition for us so loving.

Poppy and I were together for 17.5 years. I was gifted Poppy when I was 21, after I had spotted her in the trading post. At 38, I feel like I have never done anything without her.
Over the last 17.5 years we have shared everything and made many memories, including the birth of my two children now 13 and 9.
Poppy has always been my constant and such a special part of who I am. Poppy was the first thing I always packed and always my last good night.

We miss Indi every day and the tippy tappy of her little fingernails across the tile floor. Our house is not the same without her.

We remember Indi as being the sweetest and happiest Pug-tato in the world. All she ever wanted to do was make people happy. Here's a photo of Indi that sums her up. She was out little ray of sunshine.

Apart from being the best dog in the world lol Mia had a unique skill where she could twist her nose 90 degree to the side just before a sneeze. It was hilarious and unbelievably cute.
On the rare occasion (which we all do) when you’re just about to sneeze but lose the sneeze and remain in sneeze position with a silly look on your face waiting to see if the mystery sneeze returns. Well Mia would twist her nose and wait for that sneeze to return.

Coco, our beloved Maltese Shih Tzu shared our lives for 17 years and the decision to have her go to sleep was a much easier one when she was in her own home surrounded by her loving family where we could all feel comfortable sharing her memories with lots of cuddles and kisses. Emily was so gentle in her handling of this process and was the perfect choice.

We found Emily to be a very compassionate, caring Veterinarian that our family was lucky enough to have come to our home and put our beloved Golden Retriever Molly to rest. It was so peaceful for Molly in knowing her family were all present. Emily accommodated us all at a time for our family to be there and allowed as much time as we needed to say goodbye. Truly grateful and highly recommended.

image002_edited.jpg

Losing a pet and having to say goodbye is one of the hardest things to do. With the right person though it makes it that little bit easier to say goodbye. Thankyou Emily for attending with very short notice to help us through the process of our final fair well with our Marley. We knew she could not spend another night in pain and that it was her time to say goodbye.
Marley is our big teddy bear who is so missed we were so lucky to have 13 wonderful years with her.
We would highly recommend Emily to anyone having to say goodbye to their fur babies.

Emily thank you so much for your care with our beautiful old girl Sky. Your care went beyond looking after Sky. You took care and time with my family. Sky was our 17 year old blue cattle dog. We had her since she was 8 weeks old and did everything with our family. It was so hard to make the decision to put her to rest but you made it so much easier. We will forever miss our girl.

Dana Saultz - Dream Chaser - 23.03.2008 to 22.03.2023
Paw prints left on our hearts forever, Dana helped us create beautiful family memories being with us as we started our family and welcomed our two boys to the world, she was loving, caring and playful, loved the freedom of the beach, patrolling her yard and keeping Hugo (her other schnauzer) in line.  We miss you and your vibrant energy every day little lady. Lots of love your family Lisa, Ric, Orlando, Leonardo & Hugo xo.

I am so grateful that Dr Emily was there to help allow our beautiful Brian to pass away peacefully at home. Emily was kind, patient, compassionate and professional and she helped make this very difficult decision easier.

I miss Brian every day but am so grateful that he was able to "go to sleep" in his favourite spot. Thanks Emily, I cannot recommend you highly enough.

We recently had to make the hardest decision to let our beautiful Georgie go so i contacted Dr Emily from Peaceful Paws and from that moment i knew i had made the right choice, Emily talked us through everything that would happen and allowed us to be part of the process and gave us the opportunity to say our goodbyes in our own time, the respect and dignity she showed both Georgie and our family was commendable, Georgie was a very timid girl but i knew she was at peace with Emily and for that we will be forever grateful.xx

Thankyou Emily for coming out to us to make the process of us saying goodbye to our Lexi (My Tubby girl).
Emily came out to our home, and gave us the chance to comfortably say goodbye.
I would highly recommend Emily, to others that would wish to say goodbye in he comfort of their own home, or if you have a loved pet that is difficult to get into the vets. Or if your like me and have a full on home and work schedule and have difficulty making time for an appointment.

Although we miss our Lexi dearly I am glad that I chose peaceful paws 🐾

PXL_20210325_070034075.PORTRAIT-01.COVER.jpg

Thank you so much for being available to us in our time of need when our best friend became ill and declined rapidly 2 days ago.  All we wanted to do was take him home from the vet so he could pass at home in his favourite spot with us telling him how much he was loved.  Your quick response meant we could do this and spend his last couple of hours sitting together, with his favourite food and lots of cuddles and love.

We got an 18mth old Blazer from the AWLQ July 2015.  He was a stray and was underweight, had kennel cough and had a bit of a hard life.  He was a foster fail which turned into the best 8yrs we could have ever asked for, and lived his best life.  He was the most loyal companion, protector, goofball and soulmate.  His favourite thing was to have ear and chin rubs, butt scratches, running in front of the horses while I was riding and being a giant lapdog.

He has taken a huge piece of our hearts and will be loved forever, missing him until we are all together again.

bronte_edited.jpg

We adopted Bronte at 12 weeks, she was a joy to everyone that knew her.  She had just a beautiful calm personality.  She shared our

house for nearly 11 years.  Helped raise 4 teenagers, and took a fancy to their underwear, which she would often find tasty as a puppy. Luckily she liked the girls tiny underwear, which thankfully passed through her.  If they were mine she may have had an issue :)  She loved being around family and friends. She was always attracted to someone especially if they had food.  Typical Labrador trait, for which we loved

her very much.  We did live by Moreton Bay and also had a pool for which you would have thought a Labrador would have loved but not our Bronte, she was not that found of the water.

We made a move approx. 6 years ago to a rural property which I hope she loved.  She would often sit under one of the trees which was on a little hill and watch the world go by.  This is one of my most favorite memories of her as she would sit there with her front paws crossed and look over the landscape.  Her body started to let her down approx. 12 months ago, she had a breathing issue and her back end was deteriorating.  We had tried everything to make her more comfortable and to able to be with us longer.  We could see her health declining even further and made the hardest decision a pet owner ever has to make.  Our Bronte crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the 10th January 2023.  I think of her daily and will always be my Bronte girl. Miss her always.

Murphy.jpeg

Thank you Emily for the time, dignity and grace you gave both Murphy and myself during his peaceful transition to the doggie rainbow. I'll forever treasure those final moments of him snoring in my arms. Missing him like crazy,

IMG_2159.jpg

Vale Miss Sparta, she was an impulsive purchase, the last kitten in a pet shop, I could not leave her there just in case something happened to her!! I have never supported pet shops selling animals.
So, the story of her entry into the home was cooked up between my daughter and I, as my 1st husband was not keen on animals of the feline persuasion.
Sparta lived up to her name, feisty and full of purrs. She climbed everything and hid in the dark little spots.
Almost 15 years of chats, the house is quiet without her demands for food every time someone went into the kitchen. Run Free little one.

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved Labrador X , Ziggy after a short illness. It was an extremely sad & difficult time for all our family.
We called on Emily to assist in Ziggy’s  final moments.
We found her to be so respectful, gentle and extremely professional at all times. We were very thankful for her kindness.
We would highly recommend her to anyone needing this service.

Screen Shot 2022-10-29 at 8.26.31 pm.png

Thank you Dr Emily.. at such a sad and vulnerable time, you were the perfect support. Prompt, organised and so understanding of our needs. Your coordination with Pet Angels was so seemless. Thank you so much. I'd highly recommend you both.

image0-2.jpeg

I had to make the hardest decision of my life when deciding to put my 2 girls aged 14 to rest. Emily from Peacefull paws made the already difficult process so much easier with a in home service and also organised pet angles on my behalf.
Emily is kind and gentle and I highly recommend her to everyone.

Our 17 year old dashi had to leave us, his little body was packing up and he had stopped eating because of this. Emily was very prompt in responding and professional with her service, allowing my Rex to pass away in his favourite spot lying next to me on the bed where he would always come for cuddles! Thank you for being compassionate, I was a bit of a mess.

Thank you Emily.

Words can not express how grateful we are to Dr Emily. We knew it was time to say good bye to our precious girl Murphy after 17 years of having her in our lives. It never gets easier to say goodbye to our fur babies however Murphy was able to pass peacefully with the help of Dr Emily in her favourite spot at home. Although we miss our girl so much our final goodbye was so beautiful and so calm and has made our grieving process a lot easier. Thank you Dr Emily from the bottom of our hearts you truly are an angel to all Fur babies and their loved ones

My heartfelt thank you to Dr Emily who just over a week ago helped my beautiful girl Ruby (21 years old) pass peacefully in her home with me by her side. Emily really is an angel with her compassion, respect, kindness and love shown towards Ruby and myself, we had the time we needed with no rush and Emily made the journey peaceful, beautiful and all that Ruby deserved. The support for myself was outstanding and Emily organised everything needed for me as emotionally I was not really capable. Thank you Emily for everything, and old Ruby is home with us now where she belongs. xxx

One of the hardest decisions I've had to make in my life, luckily we found Dr Emily to make the whole process a lot easier, she is professional yet very relatable and compassionate. I would not hesitate to recommend her should you need to say goodbye to your pet in the most calm and gentle way.

I have no words to convey the gratitude i have for you. The care you took with Billy was amazing and the memory of it has helped me so much over the past week.
The house is very quiet without my shadow and resident doorbell. You can absolutely share the story of Bill's favourite treat which of course was coffee. He became a bit of an addict 10 years ago when i accidentally left my cup on the table and returned to find him trying to look innocent but totally covered in it. For Billy no instant coffee would do, it had to be a flat white with full cream milk.

Bronte was a special dog and grew up with my kids so she was always there with them and known as the fury four legged kid. She was their protector and Bronte was always my shadow from an early age. She had an extra sense that could tell emotional need before I knew what was happening or what I needed. She helped me through when several friends and family passed suddenly and a relationship breakdown with her loving attention and often motivated me to get out and get moving to stop me ‘thinking’ too much about the circumstances. When she was a young dog she got kicked by a neighbour’s horse that was out which broke her leg, requiring fixation.  I would sleep with her on the floor for weeks to keep her calm so I’m guessing that years later she was wanting to help me in the same way. I honestly don’t think that I would have been move forward in those trying times without her. I really appreciate that you helped her pass calmly and with dignity at her loving home.

IMG_3117.JPG

Chica was ball crazy! When she was in her prime she would love for her Dad to kick a footy and she would zoom after it at 100 miles an hour. You would get tired long before she would break a sweat!

I am at peace knowing how gentle and peaceful Indie's final moments were, she truly seemed happy. I am so thankful to you for making her final journey so beautiful.

Having him always by my side no matter what we were doing, hanging washing, hiding out from a storm, sunrise walks or playing at the beach they are all my favourites.

When my beautiful boy Blue began suffering from old age I had to make the extremely difficult decision to help him find his wings. Dr Emily was so amazing, supportive and sympathetic right from the very first point of contact. Loosing a family member is so painful and always a difficult journey but it was such a special and dignified experience to endure with Dr Emily by our side. I cannot rate her highly enough for her professionalism and respect in such a dreadul time of my families life

I strongly recommend reaching out to Emily if you have made the decision or need guidance with your beloved fur family member, you will be so glad you did (as I am)

Meika radiated happiness, she was so much more than just a dog. A true best friend and soul mate, never to be forgotten.
Dr Emily was kind, compassionate and caring and we are so grateful to have had her help Meika pass peacefully at home.

Dr Emily was fantastic in helping our little man Bolt over the rainbow bridge in the comfort of our home, surrounded by love, familiar things and his lifelong love, Ruby. We are so very grateful for her wonderful services.

Madeline and Sascha.png

Pt. 1

Sascha and her sister, Madeline, were born on 19 November, 2007 at a kennel in Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We met them both when they were 4 weeks old and decided on one Border Collie (BC) puppy however when we returned 10 days later all other BC’s had been sold leaving just one female black & white BC. Without hesitation we decided to fly both sisters down to Melbourne.

These cute little fluff balls settled in and gave us so much joy and happiness over 14+ years. Madeline & Sascha were the best friends always looking out for each other. Madeline was called The Professor whilst Sascha was called Lady Sascha. Both girls had a beautiful manner and the bond we all shared was unique.  Our girls were both keen on a tennis ball, with Sascha running with the ball on the left hand side of her mouth, whilst Madeline would be flying high in the air and always proud she had caught the ball and landed on all four paws. The veggie patch was always a great spot to explore and hide from the sun as was the large Lemon Tree on a hot day. The stories and memories we all share.

Madeline and Sascha.png

Pt. 2

We decided to make our move to Queensland in late 2021 however we were caught up in the 15+ week delay due to border closures and 2 weeks of Quarantine once we arrived.  We put our beloved BC’s on a special plane chartered for animals very early one Saturday morning.  We found online, what looked like a good family run kennel in the hills, however it was not to be.  Once we left Quarantine we raced to see them both on Monday only to find they had lost around 10kgs each, were severely dehydrated and disorientated. We moved them the next day, however Madeline passed away 6 days later. Sascha was devastated, in shock and was not eating after the passing of her sister and dearest friend. After hand feeding and earning her trust again we found Sascha was missing her Sister and dear friend, Madeline and each day was a struggle.

We sourced the services of a beautiful Vet, Dr Emily, from Peaceful Paws, who specializes in Euthanasia services for dogs and cats. This allowed us to farewell our beloved Sascha in the comfort and peace of our home, along with young Lucca (6 months) being there with his big Sister. The next morning Sascha slowly farewelled her garden and the pool, then went to lay down and wait for Dr Emily.  We introduced  Dr Emily to Sascha and Lucca and both were very comfortable with Dr Emily.  Both my Daughter and I were touched by Dr Emily’s gentle, caring and compassionate ways. Dr Emily made it such a peaceful passing for Sascha and young Lucca standing guard in front of Sascha before he allowed her body to be taken away.

Our lives were enriched by Madeline & Sascha and to be able to farewell our dear sweet young lady at home made it all the more easy whilst in the privacy and safety of our own home.

Thank you Dr Emily – so humbled to have you with us as we farewelled Sascha to finally be with her  beloved sister again.

Gingersnaps and his strong, courageous and adventurous character. Loving , loyal and dedicated cat. Who even had dogs from the neighbourhood that came to visit him and go for walks together. Girlfriend cats  too would want to hang out with him and I would put bowls of bikkies and water where they shared together as if on a dinner date.  He loved people and was a very social cat.  He was always wanting to be with me, and even tracked me down 2 suburbs away when I would go on long walks. He would walk me to the end of the street just before I caught the bus and then walk me home again when I returned.  He was my protective Angel always by my side and know his spirit continues sending me his love.

We cannot thank Dr Emily enough for her caring and kind support when it came time for us to say goodbye to our Ally girl. We are so grateful that we have the chance to say goodbye as a family in our own home.

Tommy.jpeg

I am so grateful that Dr. Emily provided her services in our home to allow us to say goodbye to our beloved gorgeous boy Tommy in our surroundings and in a place of our home where he was comfortable. From first contact with Emily to the final goodbye , Emily was so caring, compassionate and understanding of the difficult time we were going through which made the process so much easier and comforting. Thankyou Dr. Emily

Sally.jpeg

Thank you Dr Emily for helping us say goodbye to our beautiful Sally at home. You have a precious gift to make such a difficult process so calm and peaceful. You put our minds at ease when I said maybe it wasn’t time but you said you would have let us know if you felt it wasn’t. You also said Sally’s last memory would be scratches behind her ear and having some chicken. It was those words, your compassion and empathy that has made saying goodbye to Sally a little less painful. Your understanding of the human-animal bond is amazing. Thank you again Dr Emily.

Max.jpeg

Dr Emily was so professional yet gentle, compassionate, patient and caring when it was time to say goodbye to our 14 year old Golden Retriever Max.
I highly recommend Peaceful Paws and their important, personal and professional service.
Thank you Dr Emily

Cutie.jpeg

Thank You Dr Emily, your service meant that we didn’t have to take our girl to the surgery and have her last moments stressed. She got to pass in my arms at home surrounded by love as she deserved. Your calmness, kindness and compassion was so valued and appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

Porshy.jpeg

Dr Emily was professional yet warm, and very understanding of the grief we were experiencing. The little thoughts she had put into the day (as an example. Porshy's bandage had a little loveheart on it) really touched me.

Scout.jpeg

Dr Emily, thank you for the kind and compassionate way you assisted our Rhodesian Ridgeback Scout in passing over the rainbow bridge. We couldn't have asked for a more gentle, peaceful transition for him. The empathy you had for us and Scout meant more than you can know. In our distress, I'm not sure we were able to articulate that to you. But please know we are forever grateful. Thank you again, Liana and Tony x

Girly.jpeg

This week we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl of 15yrs, we weren’t ready but she was and deserved to be Pain Free.
Dr Emily understood and supported the love we had for our girl and respected our grief.
She explained all of the process and allowed us to go at a pace that was good for us.
Thank you Dr Emily for giving our much loved girl the most peaceful and calm crossing of the rainbow bridge we could ever ask for

Handsome.jpeg

Dr Emily came to our home to assist our 19yr old kitty to cross the rainbow bridge. It was helpful to be able to talk directly to the vet when organising the visit, and we appreciated the flexibility with timing. The process was at our pace, well explained, and Emily was compassionate, gentle, and supportive. This allowed us a peaceful goodbye, in our own home where our boy felt safe and calm, surrounded by the people he loved and also allowed our dog time to process and say goodbye. I'd highly recommend Peaceful Paws, as well as the process of having a home visit and assisted passing when needed. thank you

Lily.jpeg

Our lovely dog, Lily, was the most loving dog ever. It was so sad when she became sicker and sicker, and we knew the end was with us. It was such a relief to have Emily come to our home and help Lily, with kindness, compassion and respect.

Bruce.jpeg

Thank you Dr Emily for helping us say goodbye to our precious pet Bruce. We was able to allow Bruce to fall asleep at home in the sunshine Emily organised everything and helped the process be as painless as possible.
Very kind and compassionate.
Thank you

Beautiful painting of Max

20191116_185344.jpg

Callie was known to all, including the rescue that saved her as RBF (resting bitch face). Without doubt the most judgey eyes and calico/tortie attitude. But she showed that even the most traumatised and scared cat, given time and the right space can flourish, love and be loved.

Screen Shot 2022-07-05 at 9.25.04 pm.png

I would like to thank Dr Emily for the opportunity to say goodbye to our beautiful dog Holly, surrounded by her family at home in a calm and peaceful environment. Dr Emily gave us the time we needed for each of us to say our goodbyes and we appreciate your professionalism and compassion throughout the process. Holly was a big part of our family and it was wonderful to give her the send off she deserved as a loved member of our family.

We had our girl for 22 years and was devastating as a family letting her go.I miss her every day....Honestly looking back,I'm pleased we did this at home in her sanctuary ..it was so personalized and emily guided us through it all, nothing was an issue or rushed, she got down on the floor with our girl and took her time..with us all...

A big heartfelt thanks to Emily for her genuine warmth and compassion she showed us and the help she provided in the passing of our much beloved 20 year old Devon Rex Sapa

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Dr Emily went out of her way to accommodate our needs and handled our pets final moments with kindness and empathy. Highly recommend.

IMG_6483.jpeg

Dr Emily was so empathetic when it was time to say goodbye to our Maxy. She explained the whole process. It was such a dignified way to let him go in his own surroundings and having Dr Emily arrange everything for us just made it a little easier. I would highly recommend Dr Emily and cannot praise her enough

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Thanks Emily for your support and being so caring when it was time for my beloved cat to cross the rainbow bridge 🌈 . Will always be grateful I could honour her and she could be at home when she passed. Thanks Emily 💛

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

We would highly recommend Peaceful paws. Emily was so calm, kind and nurturing to our little shitzu when his time had to come to a end.
Alfie was so peaceful and relaxed when he passed. Emily then arranged pet Angels to come for Alfie so we didn’t need to worry about a thing other then to grieve.
Thank you Emily for making this hard time so peaceful. You’re service is seamless and a standout.x

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Thank you Dr Emily for providing such a beautiful and dignified end of life experience for our adored 15 year old mini dachshund Missy. Her last memories are of being cuddled by me and being hand fed chicken hearts by her human Dad. The whole process was not rushed, Emily gave us all the time we needed to say our good byes. To have this care provided in our own home made the whole experience relaxed, calm and peaceful. It truly was a beautiful experience given how sad it was to say goodbye. Thank you Dr Emily for your professionalism, empathy and kindness. I can not recommend Emily more highly.

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Emily was truly wonderful. Both my partner and I are doctors and we are obviously familiar with the process of palliation/end of life care. We had to put our beloved companion down after 8 years.
Emily was kind, compassionate, flexible and able to accomodate us during a last minute change. She was gentle and unobtrusive. I am posting this review to provide some amount of reassurance to any pet owners out there who require a similar sad service, because it would be a disservice to deprive any grieving pawrents from her services.

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Dr Emily was wonderful and I cannot recommend her services enough. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my beloved 14 year old dog to sleep and emailed several vets to find information on getting this done at home...Dr Emily stood out as she answered promptly and was amazing to deal with from start to finish. She was helpful and in constant contact answering questions and reassuring me in the lead up. On the day she was so very kind, compassionate, gentle and caring towards my dog and situation. I never felt rushed as she gave me all the time I needed between each step. My Busta had a beautiful and peaceful ending full of love thanks to Emily. Can never thank her enough and definitely recommend her business

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Dr Emily, thank you so much for providing a service that was so beautiful at such a hard time. We could never have imagined that a time like that, it could be so peaceful, beautiful and personal. We still talk about how perfect it was, Mischa knew it was her time, she was tired, in pain and, Dr Emily she was calm in your presence. You let us be with her her, to be comfortable being upset and gave us time. It’s hard to say that such a hard time was so beautiful. You organised pet angels and told us how much you trusted them, and when they turned up, we could see why you work with them. We are so glad we let Mischa rest at home without the anxiety of taking her to the vet. Also for you to come out on a Saturday, without doubling your cost, meant so much to us. The fact that even the day before if we weren’t ready, could have re-scheduled, as it is always hard knowing when the time is right. The night before she wouldn’t eat her dinner and for a dog that loved food, we knew it would be downhill fast, so it was perfect timing. Thank you so much Dr Emily.

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Thank you Emily for your caring and loving manner. You are extremely compassionate and understanding.
We were able to say goodbye to Bundy in his home with everyone who loved him

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Thank you, Dr Emily, for choosing such a difficult path. Your compassion, empathy, and efficiency was a godsend for my partner and me. A gentle approach and at home euthanasia was the ideal way to let our sweet Baylee go. I appreciate you.

Beige Minimal Natural Logo-3.png

Dr Emily helped say goodbye to our old friend Cooper today. Couldn't recommend her enough.
Made a really difficult time a little easier.thanks.
